My name is Mary Lou, and I developed an interest in hypnosis in 2014.  Hypnosis helped me see my goals clearly and gain more confidence.   The use of hypnosis and subsequent success in my life made it easy for me to decide to become a practioner and allow me to combine my love of helping people and my ongoing fascination with the power of the mind.  I look forward to becoming your partner in building harmony and balance in your life.

I believe that within each one of us, we have all of the resources needed to make any change happen.  Hypnosis serves as a tool to make that transition easier through our subconscious. When we align our subconscious and conscious mind, suddenly change becomes with in reach and we feel the freedom that allows us to adopt new ideas and habits.

Why Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is extremely powerful –  It promotes healing and releasing of old habits therefore changing the story that leads to your future. In sessions you will re-learn a new positive way of thinking and break free from anxiety, trauma, addiction, unwanted behaviors or whatever is holding you back. We will then work towards building the exciting new habits to create the life you want.

About Mary Lou

My interest in hypnosis began as a recipient with very successful personal results and later served as a way to reach  my mother, who was in a coma. This desire was so strong it lead me to become a registered and Board Certified Hypnotist, with an additional certifications in specialized programs including 5-PATH hypnotherapy and.  I am also a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists. I look forward to becoming your partner in building harmony and balance in your life!

FAQ What Is Hypnotherapy?

WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?
The medical community has endorsed Hypnotherapy since 1958. There are various levels of accreditation to become a certified hypnosis therapist. In other words, my profession is a well-established, long-term practice with strict professional guidelines and teachings.

HYPNOSIS REACHES OUR SUB-CONSCIOUS TO CHANGE US
We all can get stuck, even when we want to change. For example, you may want to sleep through the night but it’s not your experience. Or you want to lose weight but you reach for food when you are anxious. Or you continue to experience trauma, all sourced from an event from years ago.

Often we can’t get to the change we so desperately need because we can’t reach our sub-conscious level, which drives a lot of our actions! Hypnosis allows the brain to bypass our conscious mind and talk directly to our sub-conscious. When you receive new messages of hope and healing to your sub-conscious mind, your mind, body, and emotions can receive it directly to move forward in a new and better way.

HYPNOSIS IS SAFE: YOU ARE AWAKE AND IN CONTROL
Have you ever been so focused on a task that someone has difficulty getting your attention? Or so caught up in a movie that afterwards you’re surprised by how quickly time flew by? Or you have been so deep in thought when driving that you are caught off guard when your exit sign is in front of you? These are small everyday examples of self-hypnosis, and we all experience them. Similar to these types of moments, in a hypnosis session, you remain awake and remember everything afterwards. Contrary to a common misperception, you do have full control to leave this hypnotic state at any time, at your choosing – and it’s as easy as opening your eyes.

FAQ3 What happens in a hypnotherapy session?

The first step is a consultation where I learn about you, your needs and challenges. The new behaviors you want to create for yourself. This is not something done quickly and lightly, At the consultation, we come to an agreement on what belief or behavioral changes you want and what messages you would like to be able to say to your deeper self.
